This sets the tone for the day. The children enjoy songs/poems/movement/concepts of time/weather observations/daily reminders of expectations and responsibilities/introduction for theme or objective of the day, and practice Wilson Language Fundations.
We provide your child with a healthy, nutritious snack.
Children choose centers that are set up throughout the classroom that align with the theme or objectives of the day. Teachers observe, role play, provoke questioning skills and provide conversation while children are engaged in play.
Children are divided into small groups that allow for specific differentiated instruction (usually ELA or Math) aligned with the New York State Pre-Kindergarten Learning Standards.
The children explore on our state-of-the-art playground equipment. In the case of inclement weather, the children have a spacious gym to run and play in.
Lunch program available.
Choices for science, math and art centers are ready for children. Teachers meet with groups if needed to conduct experiments.
Children reflect on the day, sing goodbye songs and independently pack up their bookbags. After care is available.
